In 2004, Buyers Realty purchased 90,000 square feet of a vacant Kmart building in Burlington, Iowa. We took this single retail space and re-developed it into a 5-tenant power center. By May of 2015 we had four national tenants: Dick’s Sporting Goods, Staples, Pet Supplies Plus, and Jo-Ann Fabrics. This shopping center grew even more the following year with the addition of 4,000 square feet that was filled by Starbuck’s and Domino’s. After selling the center in June 2020, we still retain third party property management for the new owner.
